• Determine foetal gestation age.
• Confirm single/multiple pregnancy.
• Crown Rump Length (CRL) is measured.

Additional information:

Gestational age is the time measured from the first day of the woman's last menstrual cycle to the current date. It is measured in weeks.

The CRL is the length of your baby (top of it's head to it's bottom).

This procedure may involve transvaginal/internal scanning.
